Well it's been quite a bit since my last journal entry. 2011 in closing wasn't the best of years, but it certainly did have it's high points. Coming out of college, I went through no end of hardships while looking for work. Even now I'm still unemployed. (Luckily I managed to get a temporary job in December for the Christmas season. Even if it was hellish, money is money) Also had many family issues to deal with, many of them concerning my lack of work It's been no picnic living with my family. Of course the worst part of 2011 was when my best friend announced he was departing the country for a few years to pursue his girlfriend who had moved away. Naturally I was rooting for him, but I was sad to see him leave. Luckily, his permanent plans overseas got scrapped so he'll only be gone for a few weeks. I was quite happy about that bit of news.

2011 also had many good moments as well. I was accepted into my friend's circle, (Or group if you prefer) something I'd missed out on due to attending college full time. We've had many great adventures and grand times since then and I've met some new wonderful people. See? Not all bad.

My future is uncertain as 2012 begins. My outlook for work seems grim at the moment, but hopefully I can expand my job seeking radius as I get to try for my driver's license tomorrow (Yeah I know, Friday the 13th, it's actually my lucky number. Go figure) which will allow me to reach places further out. On the other hand I'll continue to improve my 3D work as I hope to get a foot in the door at some major game company or film studio in the future. Of course my 2D won't be idle this year either. I intend to continue with character works, but start to focus mainly on my strongest point: Environments. I've not done a decent environment piece in some time, and I'm long overdue. Stay tuned. As far as social life goes, I hope to spend more time with the people I love and care for. (I know, I'll stop being sappy now) So here's to the road ahead!

As a side note, I've cleaned my gallery out. Not put in storage, deleted. Deal with it. If you missed your chance to nab something, drop me a line and I'll send you a file if you want. But it was mostly old stuff that has no place here, so I'm sure it won't be missed.
